A lot has happened since I started this blog. Last week was my two year anniversary and I let it slip by quietly while trying to decide if I needed to change its direction.
Words Escape Me has primarily been a book blog with occasional writing tips. Well, for the last couple years I have been diligently working on my manuscript and I can finally say that it is done. Well, almost done, I am finishing up my final edits and plan on releasing it into the wild the beginning of April.
So where does that leave Words Escape Me? Pretty much the same, but with more writing posts and maybe some personal stories about my journey on the road to (self) publication. I know most of the time writers have their "author" blog, but I will always be a reader and still want a place to talk about books I enjoy.
Over the last two years I have met some great people in the blogging world. My goal is to merge my book talk and my writing talk as both are very dear to me. My passion for writing is something I kept to myself for many years and I am at a point in my life where I am not afraid to share it. I hope to maintain my current relationships while creating many more. Thank you to everyone who has followed Words Escape over the past two years. If it wasn't for you, I'd have no reason to be here.

ReplyDeleteThanks Christy. I can't wait for it to be out!
DeleteHappy anniversary, and I'm so happy that your manuscript is now a finished work. I love getting writing tips anywhere I can, and I'll look out for more of these on your blog :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Ivana! I'm going to try and alternate between book related stuff and and writing stuff so one does not out weigh the other. But after talking to a couple people today I was told it is not that easy. I will give it a try though.
DeleteHappy Anniversary to "Words Excape Me!" I look forward to your YA book release, as well as what new ideas you have for your blog. Congrats, Kriston!
ReplyDeleteThank you Victoria. I think what I am looking forward to the most about getting done is finally being able to move onto my next project.
DeleteI'm rooting for you no matter what you plan to do, Kriston! And, I'm really looking forward to reading your book. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and that unknown person is me, Malia. :)
